All the Pasta Without All the Carbs ~ Golden Gloves Training Update

                                                                         ENTRY 12

ALL THE PASTA WITHOUT ALL THE CARBS

I don't think I am much unlike other people, I love pasta. However, as an athlete, especially one who needs to monitor weight, pasta is often not an option.
Pasta, like bread products, is made from wheat.
Wheat contains sugars in the form of carbohydrates that are processed by the body to fat very quickly.

Now, there is a pasta option for those who are on a low-carb diet.
nuPasta is not made from wheat, so it does not contain the sugary carbohydrates of regular pasta.
It is made from konjac.
I tried it for the first time yesterday.

First of all, it is very expensive. Where a serving of regular pasta costs about 50 cents, this costs $4.

However, it is pre-cooked, and only needs to be warmed up.

The first thing I noticed after opening the package was the odd smell.
Usually pasta does not have an odor, but this one smells like fish.
Although, it was not meant to be eaten alone. Once sauce is on it, the smell is not so bad.

Also, it has an odd texture. Even with regular pasta when fully cooked still has a firmness to it.
This pasta has a rubbery texture.

I think that with all of these, once you start eating it more often, you will get used to the odor and texture.
The only thing you will probably not get used to is the price tag. Even then, once more people start buying it, the price will decrease a bit.

The big bonus is that a serving of nuPasta has only 25 calories. Served with a healthy veggie sauce. and you have a great meal for those who like pasta but not the calories.

Overall, a decent healthy choice, but may take a while to get used to the differences.

nuPasta is available in Ontario at Metro.

T-MINUS THREE WEEKS

It is less than three weeks to the Golden Gloves. This will be my first Golden Gloves tournament.

This tournament also includes the Ontario Championships.
I have been training very hard, six times per week.
Now, I have been forced to cut back due to work.
Some asshole quit without notice, so now the rest of us have to fill in those shifts until they find someone else. That includes my Saturday morning and Monday evening, both sparring sessions.
It bothers me to lose sparring time so close to the Gloves.
However, maybe if I kiss coach's butt, he can either move Saturday sparring to later, or to Friday. That means only losing one session instead of two.

I am checking my stats daily on my fancy "Before A Boxing Tournament" scale.
As of yesterday: 80.9 kg (81.0 max. for the tournament).
Body fat percentage at 17.2, down from 18.1. Muscle mass percentage at 43.2 up from 41.8. Both of these are based on measurements from this time last year.
BMI is at 24.0, considered by the WHO as 'normal' or 'healthy' for my age bracket. Down from 25.0 this time last year.

My goal is to get fat percentage to below 15, and muscle percentage to above 45.
Both are possible.

As I say often: With a little bit of effort and a lot of determination, nothing is impossible.

Not the 'I' In Team

                                                                         ENTRY 11

NOT THE 'I' IN TEAM

Hello everyone. I know it has been a while since I have posted anything here, but I have been really busy.

I thought I would take a bit of time to update everyone on what I am doing in the world of boxing.

Before I continue with this longer-than-usual entry, I want to say that with Golden Gloves training camp starting next week, I will not have much time to write here, but I will do my best to update everyone on my progress the best I can.

The Golden Gloves will be in December. About five weeks from now.
Coach has not yet posted the roster for the Golden Gloves. Although, I have expressed interest in going since I have never been in a Golden Gloves.
I really don't see me not being on the roster, since I have been working very hard.

That brings me to another point. Something I call the 'Grandpa Syndrome'.
Let me explain to you what that is.
It is a phenomenon that has stalled my progress in boxing over the past four years.

I have been in boxing for six years, and competitively for four years. My skills as a boxer should be a lot higher than they are. The reason they are not is because of the 'Grandpa Syndrome'.
You see, for some reason, boxing coaches do not like working with the Masters. I have seen this happen to myself quite a few times.
A coach will work with me for a few months, and then some new, younger guys come along, and the coach then changes focus onto them.
That happened twice at Stockyards. With Richard, and then again with Will.
Then we all know about the disaster of me changing sanctioning to the Ontario Boxing Association, which I am trying to forget, and therefore will no longer talk about it.

An athlete's progress should always be climbing. It should not flatline for a long period of time. My progress has been stalled many times and for too long,
I decided that this had to stop, and I had a lot of progress to make up.

Last May, when I decided to go back to Boxing Ontario, I went through a rather long selection process to find a new coach.
There were several reasons I chose to not return to Stockyards. In addition to the 'Grandpa Syndrome', overcrowding was another.

I chose Coach Billy because I thought he would be different.
However, when I first met him and told him I was in Masters division, he said that he had never had a Master on his team before, and he seemed to lose interest in me before even meeting me.
That sent a warning flag up the pole: 'Grandpa Syndrome'!

I don't understand why many coaches don't like training Masters.
It is not as if we train any differently. We are just like any other boxer. A coach does not have to change his entire training plan just because a Master shows up.

Last week I did get a bit annoyed because I was taken out of the boxers' training and into the regular class that contained mostly beginners.
Now, I don't mind helping the beginners. However, this happened three times in a row.
I need to advance myself.  If I feel I am being held back, that is a sign of 'Grandpa Syndrome', and that will piss me off.
I have a lot of catching up to do. I can not afford to be doing any farting around.
If coach needs to kick my butt, do it. At least that is an indication that he cares about my training.

Like I said, I don't mind helping, occasionally. I am not the 'I' in 'team'.
We have one of those. Every team has one,
You know where the 'I' is located?
In the A-hole.

They should just shorten it to what it really means: "The 'I' in 'team' is the A-hole".

Anyway, that being said, I put a lot of time and effort into boxing.  I make a lot of sacrifices for the sport. I also work very hard at it. I never sit out of an exercise and I never quit an exercise. I always do my best in all aspects of training.
I don't act like Grandpa. I don't deserve to be treated like Grandpa.

This week marks my 6-month anniversary training at Xtreme Couture Toronto.
I have to say that since joining Xtreme Couture, I have seen a steady advance in my skills.

It seems that they have a decent coaching staff.
I hope this continues, and we don't fall back into the 'Grandpa Syndrome'.

Although I usually don't discuss training specifics on this post in case future opponents are reading, there is one thing I do want to mention.
Coach Billy has pointed out that I am too stationary when I am boxing, and that may be a big reason as to why I have been so unlucky with the judges. I don't do enough in the ring. You don't score points but just standing around. Moving around is what gets you points.
The coaches have been conducting drills on this.
I have to say this is the first time I have seen boxing coaches do that.
This seems like something very basic, but of all my past coaches, none have drilled this.
They all taught offense, and defense, and footwork, but none have taught how to integrate them.
That takes a lot of coordination, You gain the coordination by doing it.

A common drill we do is "1,2,3,slip,2,3,4." In English that is an offense, a defense, and a counter-offense.
Sometimes the coach with throw in some lateral movement, "1,1,1, move to the  right, roll,2,3".
That is three jabs while moving, then a defensive move, and a counter.
That is a good drill because it integrates everything.

It is easy to practice outside the ring, but the difficult part is translating it into the ring while you have another man in front of you trying to hit you.
Once you can translate drills into sparring, it is easy to take what you do during sparring and use it in competition.

I have always found it difficult to translate drills and bag work into sparring, until now.
I am usually frustrated after sparring because I had always felt like I could have done something better.
However, there was a big change this past Wednesday during the sparring session. I worked on the drills coach did with me in class. For the first time ever, I felt like I had a constructive sparring session. I felt really good after.

I am beginning to feel that over the past six months I have progressed substantially compared to the previous year or more.

Maybe I was right about Coach Billy, after all.
Perhaps I could see myself actually winning something, preferably before I move to Open class.
Speaking of, I currently have eight bouts. That means that after two more, I will be in the Masters Open division.
Open division Masters do two-minute rounds.

I have to say that I really enjoy the 90-second rounds that I do now. They go really fast, and I can enjoy it for two more bouts.
Believe me, that extra 30-seconds makes a big difference in boxing.

Here is hoping to have a great athlete-coach relationship for a long time at Xtreme.
All I ask is to not treat me like Grandpa.
I am not Grandpa. I am a boxer like all the rest of the team.

My First Tournament Experience

                                                                         ENTRY 10

MY FIRST TOURNAMENT = DONE

This past Saturday at 7:35 PM at the Don Valley Suites hotel goes down in history as my first tournament experience ever.

It was the 2017 Silver Gloves, and as I am writing this, it is still going on. There are a few makeup bouts left.

My division did not have many entries, so there was only the final. Not really a tournament then, but still, it is the experience. Having two rings going at the same time. Plus I noticed how they set up the schedule so that the bouts in both rings started and ended at the same time.
For example, my division has one and a half minute rounds. My bout in ring 'A' and the bout in ring 'B' was also a masters bout. Although for some reason, ring 'B' started a bit before mine, but it was very close.

2017 Silver Gloves setup

I had a great time, although very nervous at first.
I also had some anxieties.

I have to say my opponent was awesome. I have said before that I respect all boxers, but this guy was a really nice guy.
His name was Jack Chisamore and he was from the Kingston Boxing Club.
At all other times I have competed, my opponent would not even acknowledge that I was there.
Jack talked to me before and after the bout.
Why not? It is only a sport. You are only 'enemies' for the time between bells.

Although I lost the decision, my coach said that I had a lot of heart.

I actually thought that I had won, or at least a lot closer than what actually happened.

Although I did not win, it was still a great experience. Plus, I brought home a silver, which is better than nothing.

You know, that looks good hanging from my trophy shelf.

I would like to do this again.
Although, I don't now when I will be competing again. There is a local card at Stockyards on November 14, and Coach Billy wants to have one at our gym.
There is also the Golden Gloves coming up.

Jack has expressed interest in meeting in the ring again at the Golden Gloves in December.

That is a possibility. However, at my gym, you have to earn your way into the ring.
If I work hard and I am actually at the gym training, the coach will allow me to compete.

I am taking this week off, from the gym and from work.
I will be taking a well-deserved rest.
It will be back to work on Friday and back to training on Monday.

I am beginning to feel positive about my boxing experience.
I have a coaching team that cares, and a great team of athletes who back up each other.

Who knows where this will lead, but it is a new venture on "The Brick's" trip along the boxing freeway.

Once again, a big thanks to Coach Billy and also Coach Sandy for their feedback. Plus, all my teammates with who I work with several times per week.

National Coach's Week ~ My Favorite Vlogger Is Hanging Up the Camera

                                                                         ENTRY 9

"THE BRICK`S" BIG DAY IS APPROACHING  / THANK'S COACH

Saturday...This Saturday, is a really important day for me for many reasons.

  • It will be my very first time in a major tournament.
  • It will be my first time representing Team Xtreme and Coach Billy.
  • It will be my first time competing since returning to Boxing Ontario.
  • It will be my first time back in the ring since last December (9 months).

I think it had not really chimed in until the schedule was posted yesterday.

Seeing my name for the first time on a tournamenet schedule kind of made me think.
I went from almost giving up and retiring from the sport, to being entered into the Silver Gloves.
This Saturday September 30 at the Don Valley Hotel during the 7 PM session, I will once again be in the ring to test and display what I have learned and worked on for so many months in the gym.
This month marks the fifth month training at Xtreme Couture Toronto with Coach Billy.
Five months that went really fast.

My coach registered me for this tournament without me having to ask. That means he sees some potential in me.

He believes that all his athletes should go to tournaments every year.
There is one more this year. The Golden Gloves are in December.
Then, in February, the Brampton Cup.

I, like many athletes, make sacrifices for the sport I represent. Lots of time away from family and friends and doing things you would like to do instead of being in the gym. I have heard of athletes quitting their jobs so they can spend more time training.

Being an athlete is hard, but being a coach is harder.

Coaching is a kind of teaching, but it is not like teaching math to fifth-graders.
Athletes sometimes need a butt-kicking.

My coach got pissed off with me during yesterday's conditioning session because it apperaed that I was screwing around. I wasn't, but I was just not doing what the coach was expecting me to be doing, which I guess is another way of saying that I was screwing around.

Athletes can be lazy. If a coach just told his athletes, "Do what you want', you know damn-well that nothing will happen. They will do the absolute bare minimum for about 20 minutes, then call it a day.
It's true.
Athletes need to be pushed to their full potential, and in some cases, beyond.

Stolen from Facebook

Behind every good athlete is a good coach, but sometimes we forget that.

It happens in professional sports all the time. When a team does crappy, the coach gets blamed, but if the team does well, it is because it is a good team. Nobody mentions the good coach behind the good team.

This Saturday is my time to once again shine in the ring.
I am not going to lie, I am very nervous about it. However, so are all the other boxers.

For me, my greatest fear is going in there and looking like shit.
Boxing is just as much a glamour sport as it is anything else.
Nothing else matters. If you go in there and you have great technique, great defense, and you stay in there and not keep retreating, you have a good chance of winning a decision. It is just a matter of which boxer does so more.
Plus, losing a decision you can blame on the judges.
If you go in there and look like shit you will probably not win, and you can not blame anyone except yourself.
I am with a great team with a great coach, and I don't want to spoil it by losing because I looked like shit in the ring.

Coach Billy has pointed out a few flaws in my boxing, and he is a tough coach.

Some people might see him coaching and think he is an asshole, but that is what a good coach does. Kicking athlete's asses.
He is strict with his boxers, because he cares about his boxers.

For those who are not aware, this week is National Coach's Week in Canada.
If you are an athlete, take some time to say 'thank you' to your coach.
Your coach works very hard to make you the best you can be.

BOO, "THE DAILY WOO" IS TAKING A LIEU...FOREVER

It had to happen eventually. My favorite vlogger of all time "The Daily Woo" has retired from vlogging.
His reason is that he just wants to go back to living a normal life.
He has been producing a video every day for over five years. 1911 days without stopping.
I can't imagine what it must be like living every day with a camera in your face. Every move you make documented for the world to see.

I can understand his decision.
I vlog sometimes, but not everyday. Just when I want to document something special.

His vlogs were very interesting as he would travel to different places, such as filming locations and roadside attractions.
Now, that will be no more.

To 'The Daily Woo' I say "thank you".
You have done well and introduced me to many interesting places that I never knew existed.
You have eared this well-deserved retirement.
Rest well, my friend.

If you have time, check out 'The Daily Woo' HERE.

Opponent For Silver Gloves Is Very Probable

                                                                         ENTRY 8

OPPONENT FOR THE SILVER GLOVES?

Only a fitness entry this time.  Way too freaking busy for anything else.

I have been at training camp four times per week.
My employer was nice enough to adjust my start time so I can spend more time training.
Although I have never mentioned it before, I was placed at that location specifically because I am a boxer.
Not to go around and punch everything that walks, but rather they need someone there who isn't afraid of anyone and isn't going to take any shit.

That being said, even though I was serious about training as I always am, there was always this little thought in the back of my head that I would not have an opponent. Nobody else in my category would register.

Well, this just in...
A guy from Kingston has registered for the Silver Gloves and he is in my category.
What does this mean?
It means that if nobody else in my category  registers, he will be my opponent at the Silver Gloves. In that case, there of course will be no preliminary matches, only a Gold Medal bout.
What else does this mean?
It is getting real and 'The Brick' needs to stay in high-gear.

I know who this guy is. I have seen his bouts. He is very aggressive.
That means he goes non-stop. He will get you on the ropes and beat the fuck out of you, and continue to beat the fuck out of you until you have no fuck left. Then he will find more fuck and beat that out of you too.

I really need to be ready for this guy.
Even if I don't get him as an opponent, I need to be ready for anyone.

This is a new team and coach, and I don't want to let anyone down. I need to do my absolute best.
I also can't be disqualified.
I am still 1 kg over the weight limit with only two weeks to go.
Although, talking to my teammates, some are over more than that.
I don't know how they are going to do it. Good luck.
However, that does give more more inspiration. I mean, it is only 1 kg. About 2 pounds. Big freaking deal.

I have been asked in the past to post my boxing stats.
I have never wanted to publish my stats because up until now they were not really important.
Well, they still are not that important. What has happened in the past is water under the bridge and the important thing is to move on, so I have decided to publish my stats. Besides, if you use you Colombo-like research skills, you can find out on your own anyway. All amateur boxing stats are posted somewhere, but it takes a bit of digging.

  "The Brick" Amateur Boxing Stats:

I know a couple of questions are going to arise, so I will do my best to answer them now.

One will be, why did I take so long to get my medical clearance re-certified?
Lots of reasons. Besides being too busy to even have time to take a good dump, I was in the process of changing physicians (for a reason not related to boxing), so that took some time too.
Also I changed sanctions and coach. That all took a lot of time.
I could have been cleared within a couple of weeks after my medical suspension, but lots of other crap happened that I don't care to get into right now.

Another question I know will be, with such a crappy record, why do you keep boxing?
Why not?
Eventually I will see some green on there. The 'W' will come. Law of averages.

Boxing is a very difficult sport. A problem is that many people do not understand it.
It is one of few sports where you have to be offence and defense at the same time. That alone is difficult, but you also have to try to predict your opponent.
Yes, there is a 'proper' way to box.

I respect all boxers.
You need a huge set of balls to climb into that ring. Something that a lot do not have.
Once you climb through those ropes, you have already won.
Although, a Gold would look nice on my trophy shelf.

Anyway, before anyone decides to make any stupid comments about my stats, you try what I am doing.
The training would probably kill you first.
I do exercises that the 20 year-old do, and I don't use my age as an excuse to get out of doing them.
100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, pushing that stupid damn sled across the floor.
I hate that exercise, but I do it because it is part of our training and I am part of the team, and I want to be the best I can be.

That brings me to a final point.
I have had a lot of coaches in the past. Searching for a new coach this time brought me to where I am now.
I was studying the coaches' behaviours at the last Stockyards show in April, and there was something about this particular coach's style that I liked.

Now we move on. New club, new coach, new team.
Maybe this will help add a green 'W' to my record.

My goal at this tournament is Gold, but I really want to avoid another RSC.
Even if I just make it to the final bell. My goal is to win, of course, but if a loss has to happen it should be because of a stoppage. Especially with two athletes that are so closely matched.

Thank you to Coach Billy and the rest of the Xtreme Couture boxing team for their help.
You are a great bunch of people to train with.

Infamous `Poltergeist`Jump-Cut Finally Explained ~ Have Professional Athletes Forgot About the `Sport`? ~ Silver Gloves Training Camp Continued...

                                                                         ENTRY 7

INFAMOUS 'POLTERGEIST' JUMP-CUT
IS FINALLY EXPLAINED

One of the most remembered, and for me the most annoying movie mistakes of all time.
The infamous jump-cut in 'Poltergeist'.

For those who forgot, here is what happened: We go from single-shot of Steve laying against the kitchen wall while Diane is talking to him. Then, while she is talking we suddenly cut to a shot of both of them in front of their neighbor's house while cutting off the rest of her sentence.

This seems a bit odd to happen in a major feature film from a well-known director.
Well, it seems that this was not a mistake. It was done on purpose.
Steve says something near the end of Diane's sentence that had to be removed.
He said, "You know how much I hate Pizza Hut".
The people at Pizza Hut did not like that, and wanted the line removed.
By this time the film had already been released, so the line had to be quickly cut from every print.

Okay, people, let me explain something. If the name of a product is mentioned in a film, it is not real. It is fiction. There is no need to get all bent out of shape about it and ruin a perfectly good film.

Geez. You know how much I hate Pizza Hut.

HAVE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES FORGOT ABOUT THE 'SPORT'?

A lot of people, including myself have an opinion about the recent Floyd Mayweather  Jr.vs. Conor  McGregor `boxing`.

Of course the boxer won, but that is no big surprise.

This bout went a lot longer than I expected.
Some say that Floyd Mayweather was screwing around for the first few rounds. Putting on a good show for the audience.
That may be true. However, people paid a lot to see this circus, and it did nothing for the sport of boxing.
Oh, yeah, it helped the athletes and the promoters a lot. Maybe too much.

The bigger problem is that it is not just boxing. All professional sports are like that.

Look at hockey players. They are unionized.
Why?
If you like playing hockey, play hockey damn it.
Why do you need a union?
That is proof that the focus is not on the sport, but on the money.

At what point in your professional sports career do you begin to lose focus?

I know that when professional boxers first start they are paid very poorly but still have a lot of heart.
Once a boxer becomes well-known, his pay skyrockets and it is clear that his focus is no longer on boxing but rather the pay cheque.

I remember when Mohamed Ali used to make the sport interesting, and then Mike Tyson came along and he was a killer.

Now, all that is gone, and it is all about the Almighty Dollar.

I am perfectly fine as an amateur athlete. I like my sport as a recreation, and I respect my sport.
I want to keep it that way.

SILVER GLOVES TRAINING CAMP CONTINUES...

My first tournament representing my new team, and my first time in the ring to compete for 2017 is fast approaching.
As you can understand, I don't want to screw this.
Coach wants me to spend more time training with the team.
I have to say this is an amazing coach. He believes the team should train together, same way, same time.
However, I am having a bit of a problem getting my work to cooperate.
With 12-hour shifts that start at 7 PM, it is difficult to get training time in. I am seriously thinking of asking to be moved to another property.  I am getting tired of working at that nuthouse anyway.
Downtown. These people have something seriously wrong in the head.

Anyway...
Now that my annual C.N.E. visit is over, it is time for a strict diet.
One of my teammates had an excellent idea on how to cut weight by eating smaller portions but more often.
Eating less often is actually more damaging because your body expects to have to wait a long time for the next food intake, and therefore will store food in the form of fat.
If you eat more often, your body does not need to store fat.
It makes sense.
I am going to try that.

Silver Gloves Tournament: September 29 - October 1 at the Don Valley Hotel, Toronto.

Game Time: How To Make Money From Stupidity ~ Damaged Delts, No Prob. ~ Getting EX-ERCISE

                                                                         ENTRY 6

GAME TIME TV: MAKING MONEY FROM STUPIDITY

Some of you may have heard of 'Game Time'.
Most of you probably have not.

'Game Time' is a late-night call-in show.
There are puzzles to solve and if you are correct there is a cash prize.
However, there is a catch. It costs a dollar for each entry, but it is not guaranteed that anyone will answer when you call. Most of the time, they don't answer the call and so one of the ways they make money.

They also make money  because of the high number if ridiculously stupid people who call and actually do get through.
This is the reason I watch this crap. It is entertainment. When I don't deal with enough stupidity at work, let me enjoy watching stupid on TV.

They seem to play the exact same games frequently.

One such game is a grid of geese that are moving, and you have to find three that are different.
This game is played so frequently that the chances are very good that if you were to turn on 'Game Time' in the middle of the broadcast, you would see this game.

Another game they play frequently is 'Guess the Car Brand'. They put letters up and you have to guess a brand of vehicle from the letters and if it matches what is in the envelope, you win. Sometimes as much as $2000.

That's fine, but the answers she gets...
'Toyota'.
People, clue in. They are not going to give you $2000 for 'Toyota'.
It is always some obscure name that nobody thinks of. Of course!

Then there is also just plain unexplained stupidity.
In a game they no longer play, one had to guess a word that was in the envelope that ended with '_____MENT'.
There are a lot actually.
Apartment, cement, employment, ailment, filament, announcement, accomplishment, enrollment, tournament, fragment, compliment...and the list goes on. There are actually 128 words that end in 'MENT'.
That is a lot of words. I don't even remember what word was in the envelope, but I do remember one particularly odd and definitely wrong answer.
Doesn't some woman call with all of her infinite wisdom with the answer, 'pepperment'.
Pepperment. That isn't even a word.

I can go on and on about the amount of stupid that calls to this show.
However, I did notice on the last show that someone did call in with an obscure car brand, so it looks like people are catching on, but that was only one of many.

Another note, the phone numbers they use are always active, even when the show is not on. That leads me to believe that they probably make a fair buck on accidental calls.
I mean, who is going to notice a one dollar charge on their phone bill? Who actually looks at their phone bill?

The producers of these games buy air time on local TV stations overnight when air time is very inexpensive.
However, I never realized the scope of this game show.
It is operated by a German company, Fernsehen Anrufen, which translates to Call TV.
This company apparently produces various versions of 'Game Time' in many different languages in many different regions. Although, I am not sure how many. I know there is a Québéc version in French produced in Montréal.

The last frame is from the Montréal production.
No. It is not what it looks like.
She was doing a countdown and for some reason did it with the back of her hand.
Cinq...quatre...trois...deux...un...and that finger apparently means 'un'.

For your nightly dose of entertainment in Southern Ontario, tune in CHCH at about midnight. This game is not on every night, but most nights.
It is worth watching just to listen to the stupid.

DOCTOR DECIDES DAMAGED DELTOIDS DON'T DEBAR DISCIPLINE

That means that my sore shoulders are injured muscles caused by overexertion but it will not affect my exercise routine.
My physician told me that it was not that serious, and that I should not have problems.
The cause was likely due to not properly warming up before exercising.

About three weeks ago I noticed it and it has been a bit irritated since. Although it does not hurt all the time. Only when I rest it for a long time then suddenly move it.
I know coach does not chase people to warm up, he just expects us to do it.
However, sometimes things happen. I don't know how. It was possible I was in a bit of a rush.
This just goes to show to start early to make sure you have time to properly stretch. Injured muscles take a long time to heal, and in the case of an active athlete, that could be a big setback.
Be careful.

Continuing with training, Silver Gloves training starts next week.
Coach wants me training with the team and attending sparring which could be as often as three times per week.
At the same time I can't forget about conditioning, and the fact that I still have to trim a couple of kilograms.
I have been stuck at 83 kg for over three months. I can't seem to budge off that.
I don't know why I can not drop. Even at work I do more than enough walking. Well, my whole job is really just walking. 12-hours four times per week of walking and then the other days I am doing some kind of conditioning at a gym. I am either at X- Coutur or Bloor Street Fitness.
Yes, I still sometimes go to Bloor.

Like I said in the last entry, after the C.N.E., its rabbit food diet.

GETTING SOME EX--ERCISE

On Labour Day weekend I will be doing my annual visit to the C.N.E.
I normally don't go that late in the season, but I want to check out the Active Ontario exhibit at Ontario Place at the same time.

I will be producing a vlog at the same time as well.
Everyone, please check out the 'Another Brick In the Sprawl Video Edition' on YouTube. I put a lot of work into these and more views will inspire me to make more.
